From April 29th to May 3rd 2020 at Port of Palma

The Palma Boat Show and BYD continue their international promotion at METSTRADE

More than 26,000 professionals from the nautical industry gather today in Amsterdam at the METSTRADE Show, the world’s largest trade exhibition of marine equipment, materials and systems.

It is an essential boat show for keeping up to date with the latest developments in the sector, seeing first hand the most innovative products in the industry and discussing with other professionals the development of the international market. 250 new companies are also exhibiting their products for the first time.

It is a perfect event for Balearic Yacht Destination, supported by the IDI, to continue with the international promotion of the Balearic Islands as a destination for superyachts from the perspective of tourism and industry. Balearic Yacht Destination will be taking advantage of the show to highlight the infrastructure and varied tourist offer of the islands, which make it a perfect destination for superyachts. As well as publicising one of the most important Mediterranean nautical trade fairs, the Palma International Boat Show.

METSTRADE has expanded its programme with the inclusion of educational seminars organised by the NMEA and the Superyacht Forum. For more than 25 years, the Superyacht Group has organised events to showcase market-leading brands to its target audience. Through innovative programmes, they create intimate environments that foster discussion among professionals in the sector and have a direct impact on their industry.

The Superyacht Forum, considered one of the most highly valued and influential events in the superyacht market, took place yesterday in Amsterdam. This year’s edition focused exclusively on what the next generation wants, thinks and needs. An important discussion platform to chart the course that the nautical industry needs to follow to ensure future prosperity. Hundreds of professionals from the sector attended the Superyacht Forum to reflect on the future of the industry. Various workshops also took place with the aim of assessing improvements that could contribute to the growth of the superyacht business.

With this in mind, this edition had a greater focus on sustainability. Those attending the presentations were even able to charge their mobile phones through pedal power.
