[:en]The staff team that this year will be assisting visitors and exhibitors at Palma International Boat Show will be wearing exclusive uniforms designed and made by the recently-created Col·lectiu de Dissenyadors i Productors de Moda de Mallorca (Moda de Mallorca Collective of Designers and Makers).

Even though we can’t officially present you the uniforms as we are still waiting for them to be made, what we can let you in on is that it is a skirt and shirt for women and trousers and a shirt for men. The design and tailoring will be by the Xicoia brand, a member of the collective, whilst the fabrics will be supplied by two companies with a long history in Majorca: Teixits Vicens and Teixits Riera.

The Col·lectiu de Dissenyadors i Productors de Mallorca was born through the amalgamation of several designers who, after analysing the fashion sector in Majorca, realised the need to organise themselves towards a common cause: that of promoting domestic trade and protecting the interests of professionals, and giving the industry greater visibility to institutions and the media, as has been done in Ibiza with Moda Adlib and in Menorca through different associations.

It should also be mentioned that the Collective will be physically present at Palma International Boat Show with a stand where they will be promoting Majorca fashion.

The fashion sector is considered a key, strategic sector to the development of the Balearic Islands’ new production model, that is being promoted through different projects carried out with the IDI.[:de]The staff team that this year will be assisting visitors and exhibitors at Palma International Boat Show will be wearing exclusive uniforms designed and made by the recently-created Col·lectiu de Dissenyadors i Productors de Moda de Mallorca (Moda de Mallorca Collective of Designers and Makers).
